Tips for Taking Care of Your Winter Clothes

Winter clothes need special care and attention as they have their own distinct character and needs. In order to keep the woolen clothing last longer you need to follow certain steps while washing different clothes.
Wool Clothes: Majority of the people think that wool clothes cannot be machine washed. But this is not the case. Before washing it people need to see the label attached to it. If the label says that you can machine wash it then use the mild detergent while washing. After that you need to lay the wool items flat on the surface.

Knitted Items like Hats, Scarves, and Mittens: Knitted items need to be hand washed. For this you need to fill the sink with the cold water and add the hand washing cleanser. Put the items in the sink and rub them with your hands. Drain the water and wash it again with the clean water. To remove the excess water wrap the items in towel and lay it flat on the surface.

Coats: If your coat or jacket is made of the wool then use the fabric brush to remove the wool which is dirty or dull. If the coat is of other fabric then try spot cleaning. You need to clean cuffs, collars and around the button holes. Scrub the area carefully and then wash it with the water.
